Cable Tension Meter HF 36/LPT
Application field:
These tension meter models have been specially designed to measure the tension on cables under load without having to insert an in-line dynamometer or dismantle the installation to take the measurement.
Examples of applications:
• Telecommunications antenna guy wires
• High-voltage power lines
• Suspension bridges, walkways, or tents
Operating principle:
Tensile force measurement using strain gauges. The deflection of the cable acting through the tension meter generates a tangential force proportional to the tensile load applied to the cable. The deformation produced by this force is measured by a strain gauge bridge integrated into the sensor. The signal generated by the strain gauges is then processed by the associated electronics and displayed on the LCD screen of the linked display unit.

Options :
Specific calibration: The standard database includes a series of cables identified by a “calibration reference.” Each number corresponds to a calibration performed on the associated cable. The database can be expanded with specific cables or ropes — a sample of each cable type is required, and the calibration results will be added to the database.
